We offer a wide range of print finishing.

Laminating

1. Refrain from using any sealers
2. When printing with larger cover of metallic inks use solvent based laminating rather than thermonal based laminating
3. Use spray powder sparingly

Styles: Gloss, matt, linen – Single side or both sides
Minimum size: 280mm x 300mm
Maximum size: 710mm x 1020mm
Minimum stock: 115 gsm
Maximum stock: 1200 micron

Overall UV

1. Use only coated stock
2. Use only wax-free inks
3. Avoid silicon based spraypowder
4. UV varnish can change colours in alkaline resistant pigment as used in reflex blue, bronze blues, purple, violet and rhodamine red
5. Indicate to us the side to be UV varnished
6. Be careful when using metallic inks, rather consult us first
7. Only use a sealer that is UV compatible

Spot UV

1. Supply us with a silkscreen positive of the full sheet stuck down to indicate position
2. If only one side needs to be UV varnished print sheetwork
3. If both sides need to be varnished rather print ‘work and turn’ or ‘work and tumble’
4. Try not to use stock below I 35gsm
5. Allow extra grip if possible
6. Always indicate grip and lay

Hotfoil

1. Positive of full sheet stuck down to indicate position
2. Foil stock reference number
3. Indicate if a drop shadow is required
4. Sample (if available)
5. Always indicate grip and lay
6. If supplying a block ensure it is 6.35mm high

Minimum size: 50mm x 90mm
Maximum size: 560mm x 740mm (automatic)

Decorative UV

1. Supply us with a silkscreen positive of the full sheet stuck down to indicate position
2. If only one side needs to be UV varnished print sheetwork
3. If both sides need to be varnished rather print ‘work and turn’ or ‘work and tumble’

5. Allow extra grip if possible

Scratch off

1. Supply us with a silkscreen positive of the full sheet stuck down to indicate position
2. Never print the sheets ‘work and turn’ only ‘sheet work’
3. Indicate whether a release varnish was applied or if we must first coat with an overall UV varnish or a Spot UV varnish
4. Available in Gold or Silver
5. Allow extra time for ‘curing’

2. Indicate wire colour and binding length on order

Folding

1. Supply a dummy copy or folded sample marked as ‘sample’
2. All stock above I 50gsm should be creased
3. Multiple up leaflets must be printed sheet work to enable us to fold 2up with 5mm double cut
4. Ensure the grain direction is suitable for the folding configuration
5. Ask for imposition scheme if not sure especially on 32 page sections

Stitching

1. Supply a dummy copy or folded sample marked as ‘sample’
2. Provide a overlap on highest folio number
3. Obtain imposition from UVP for optimal folding configuration
4. Provide for a double cut on 2up work either 6mm or 10mm
5. Provide for creep on thick booklets
6. Indicate final size in mm on sample
7. Print landscape books less than 148mm deep, as a 2up copy
